Vitek Tracz
Chairman, Science Navigation Group
Vitek studied Mathematics in Warsaw and Jerusalem, and cinema at
the Slade School of Art in London. Over the years, as Chairman of
the Science Navigation Group, of which Biology Reports Ltd is a
member company, he has developed a number of innovative publishing
projects: the Current Opinion series of journals in many areas of
biology and clinical medicine; as well as some important primary
journals including Current Biology, Structure, Genome Biology,
AIDS, and Journal of Hypertension; and web-based projects including
BioMedNet, the Investigational Drugs Database IDdb, BioMed Central,
and now Faculty of 1000 Biology and Medicine.

David Weedon
Managing Director, Biology Reports Ltd
David is the Publisher of Faculty of 1000 Biology, and other
forthcoming literature awareness and literature review products.
After a PhD in Neuroimmunology and a post-doctoral term as an
Immunologist, both within the University of London, he joined
forces with Vitek Tracz (see above) and Peter Newmark (formerly
Editorial Director for Biology of BioMed Central) to build and run
the Current Opinion series of journals in biology.
Faculty of 1000 Biology
Kathleen Wets
Deputy Managing Director
Kathleen helped design and build Faculty of 1000 Biology. She is
responsible for managing all aspects of Faculty of 1000 Biology.
After taking her BA in Human Biology at Stanford University,
California, Kathleen worked in the Neuroscience Research Centre at
Merck Sharp & Dohme (Terlings Park, Harlow) and then for a PhD
in Neurobiology at the Institute of Psychiatry, University of
London. More recently, she was responsible for editing Current
Opinion in Neurobiology and developing new systems / training staff
for the Current Opinion series.
Steven Lokwan
Project Director
Steven helped set up Faculty of 1000 Biology and manages all
aspects of the day-to-day running of the Faculty of 1000 Biology
Editorial office. He joined Faculty of 1000 Biology after studying
at University of Wales Swansea where he obtained a BSc (Hons)
degree in Biology, and a PhD in Neuropsychopharmacology.

Fiona Beeley
Senior Editorial Manager
Fiona helps manage the Faculty of 1000 Biology Editorial team. She
is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the
Faculties, editing submissions and editorial training. She joined
Faculty of 1000 Biology after obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Medical
Microbiology at University of Edinburgh.
Martin Delamare
Senior Editorial Manager
Martin helps manage the Faculty of 1000 Biology Editorial team. He
is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the
Faculties, editing submissions and editorial training. He joined
Faculty of 1000 Biology after obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Biology at
University of Sussex.
Michelle Webb
Senior Editorial Manager
Michelle is responsible for managing and co-ordinating all aspects
of editing and editorial training. She joined Faculty of 1000
Biology after receiving a BSc (Hons) in Human Biology at Oxford
Brookes University.
Rebecca Cummings
Senior Editor
Rebecca helps manage the Faculty of 1000 Biology Editorial team.
She is also responsible for the day-to-day running of a sub-set of
the Faculties, editing submissions and editorial training. She
joined Faculty of 1000 Biology after obtaining a BA (Hons) in
Pathology at Cambridge University (Sidney Sussex College).
Emma Fabiani
Editor
Emma is responsible the day-to-day running of a sub-set of the
Faculties and the editing of submissions. She joined Faculty of
1000 Biology after obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry with
Cellular and Molecular Biology at The University of Kent.
Teresa Dudley
Senior Editorial Assistant
Teresa is responsible for the day-to-day running of a sub-set of
the Faculties and the editing of submissions. She joined Faculty of
1000 Biology after obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Human Genetics at
University of the Witwatersrand.
Rebecca Bull
Senior Editorial Assistant
Rebecca is responsible for the day-to-day running of a sub-set of
the Faculties and the editing of submissions. She joined Faculty of
1000 Biology after obtaining an MSc in Biochemistry and Biological
Chemistry at the University of Nottingham.
Joanna Goldsmith
Senior Editorial Assistant
Joanna is responsible for the day-to-day running of a sub-set of
the Faculties and for the editing of submissions. She joined
Faculty of 1000 Biology after obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Biology at
University of Leicester.
Louise Abbott
Editorial Assistant
Louise is responsible for the day-to-day running of a sub-set of the Faculties
and for the editing of submissions. She joined Faculty of 1000 Biology after
obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences at University of Warwick.
Tannaz Aliabadi-Zadeh
Editorial Assistant
Tannaz is responsible for the day-to-day running of a sub-set of the
Faculties and for the editing of submissions. She joined Faculty of
1000 Biology after obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry at Imperial
College, London.
