Biography

Born in Mexico City, 1961. MD, PhD by the National University of Mexico. Residence in Internal Medicina and Nephrology at the Instituto Nacional de la Nutrición Salvador Zubirán in Mexico City and fellow at the Brigham and Women¿s Hospital, Harvard Medical School 1990 to 1993.

Actual position: Full professor at the Instituto Nacional de la Nutrición Salvador Zubirán, Biomedical Research Institute, National University of Mexico.

Research Interest: Electroneutral cotransporters. Cyclosporine toxicity.

Grant: Mexican CONACYT, Wellcome Trust and NIH.
