Dr. Rosenberg obtained her M.D. and Ph.D degrees from the joint program at The Rockefeller University and Cornell University Medical College. Following postdoctoral research at Harvard University, she joined the NIH in 1991, and became Section Head in 2002. Dr. Rosenberg's group focuses on the biology and function of the eosinophilic leukocyte and the role played by these cells in respiratory physiology. Her group has developed a novel mouse model of using the natural rodent pathogen, pneumonia virus of mice as part of an exploration of the role of eosinophils in the pathophysiologic immune responses to respiratory virus infection in vivo.
