Biography

Bhaskar Gollapudi is the Senior Science Leader of the Dow Chemical Company's global Toxicology & Environmental Research laboratory located at its headquarters in Midland, MI. In this role, he has the overall responsibility for research activities in the department. He has authored/co-authored more than 60 scientific publications. He is currently serving as an adjunct associate professor of toxicology in the Department of Public Health at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He is an associate editor of Toxicological Sciences, the official journal of the Society of Toxicology. He is currently serving as an elected councilor of the Environmental Mutagen Society. He has mentored a number of undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students in his laboratory. His current research activities include mode of action in chemical mutagenesis/carcinogenesis and understanding the potential interactions among chemical mixtures at environmentally relevant dose levels. He received a B. Sc degree in Chemistry, M.Sc. in Genetics, both from Osmania University, Hyderabd, India, and a Ph.D. in Biology from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada.
