Biography

Kelly A. Frazer is Senior Scientist and head of the cross-species program at Perlegen Sciences. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Biomedical Sciences program at the University of California, San Francisco and then was a postdoctoral fellow in the Genome Science Department of LBNL. There she utilized comparative analyses of human and mouse sequences coupled with transgenesis studies to discover and characterize evolutionarily conserved noncoding elements. Dr. Frazer''s current research interest includes comparative genomics, and understanding patterns of single nucleotide human variation.
