The major research initiatives in Dr. Freedman¿s laboratory emphasize the regulation of pathways contributing to atherothrombotic disease and how these factors contribute to acute coronary syndromes. Her research has involved both basic pathways regulating vascular function as well as pharmacological studies of therapeutics for vascular disease. The research has been studied in the context of the cardiovascular patient population including genetic, biomarker, and pharmacological intervention studies.
